Content-X: One System for All Channels
ppi Media is presenting Content-X @ Amedia in Oslo.
Print, online and mobile, shorter and shorter deadlines and, at the same time, a higher information density – with editorial work becoming more dynamic, new ideas and approaches to creating an efficient, flexible and simple production workflow are needed. The answer is Content-X, a solution that links the innovative search and content creation options of the Content Management System DC-X with the high performance of Adobe InDesign. Using the Content-X plugins, DC-X articles can be placed quickly and easily on InDesign pages or, alternatively, be created from within InDesign. By focusing on the essentials, Content-X is a streamlined, cost-saving solution that is easy to operate.

Digital Collections, ppi Media & Adobe – a perfect team For years, Digital Collections and its DC-X solution have stood for innovation in the field of Content Management Systems. Adobe InDesign ranks among the best layout programs in the world and spearheads development in this segment. Due to the seamless integration of ppi‘s plugins in InDesign, both systems are uniquely linked, and together form a solution whose striking features are flexibility and simplicity: Content-X. DC-X – one environment, all channels Whether you‘re tracking news, creating your own articles or searching the archive – DC-X provides the perfect tool for all this. You don‘t need to switch between programs, nor are additional licenses required. A computer and a browser are all an editor needs to start working – in the editorial office or on the road. Semantic search In order to control the daily flood of information, DC-X searches and tracks all the incoming news by systematically analyzing all the texts. This means the editor does not miss any news, even though it would be difficult to find using traditional methods. Highly integrated in InDesign Content-X offers all the functions in InDesign that are needed for production. The layout frames are quickly and easily combined to create structured articles. These can be used immediately or saved as templates in standard InDesign libraries. Articles, individual texts or images from the CMS can then be placed on these article templates from a palette in InDesign or from the DC-X browser. Images are automatically adjusted.
